Art was once only a privilege enjoyed by the kings and the royal families living in extravagant palaces. However, the rise of Impressionism, and later Fauvism, cubism and modern art got rid of previous boundaries and limits. People started looking for the meaning of “self”. They followed their self-consciousness and thinking to interpret the shadows jumping on the tree branch, the breeze brushing the flowers and grass as well as the air going through the spectrum. The diversification of art has broadened people’s vision, hence, the beauty of life has been recorded in non- conventional colors and forms.
After the Van Gogh series, Franz Collection launched “The realm of dreams – Philadelphia Museum of Art Collection”. On the bottom of each piece of artwork one can find the trademark authorization of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Franz designers have transformed each canvas into porcelain and have infused the passion in the artwork of Matisse, Gauguin, Monet, Modigiliani, Leger and Juan Gris. By applying coloring and sculpting techniques during creation the designers have showed the rich quality of each painting.
